Brake hard line removal
1991 Honda crx dx.
Have to replace brake hard line that runs to drivers side rear (the longest one of course) and i need to know if I can get to lines in firewall if I remove dash.
Need to know if thats all i have to do or if there is more to be removed behind dash.
Not worried about doing job but thats only place i see problems.
If you have pictures that would be great. Just want to see what up against brfore I start and any tips would be great.

I looked at the Honda manual for what might be your car. This is the 88-90 version. Is yours an EF? I don't know if the 91 is the same.. sorry. It shows a nice sketch of the general locations of where all the hard lines and soft hoses are. Then kind of skips over the hard lines and goes into replacing the hoses and adjusting the parking brake. I don't know if a Haynes manual might show you what all needs done, but the Honda manual does not. Maybe it would be in a body shop repair manual or something.
I'm fairly sure that the brake lines don't run through the dash at all. They should be all in the engine bay and under the car. You will need a flare nut ("line") wrench. DO NOT try to do it with open-ended wrenches, you WILL mess something up.
Flare nut wrench no problem. but lines in crx run through firewall on passenger side down to floor . along passenger side door and under consol thing in back then through hole to brakes.
Took out dash (mostly) and cant see but maybe will have to take out heater or loosen it . Will have to take dash out all the way to see for sure.
Wish there was a way to fix but dont trust splicing when it comes to brakes and have ordered new replacement line from honda (not bad 60$ on line at manchestermotorsports.com) and i want to do it right.
