Default Brake pedal losses pressure

My 99 EX has not had any brake worked performed in the last 3 months since I put new pads up front and everything gas been working fine. Today when I applied the brakes the pedal nearly went to the floor. The rest of the 8 mile trip home it would do the same thing when intially applying pressure, then would get stiff upon pumping a couple of times. The front calipers look dry and fine. I followed the lines and they look dry and the fluid is not low, actually at the top range. Not sure what else to check.

If it's not a leak or air in the lines, the master cylinder is bad.

Thanks Mk. Is there a way to tell if its the master cylinder or the booster?

Bad booster the car will still stop though you'd have to press very hard on the pedal. So it's not that.
