We just put new brakes,rotors and calibers on my 2004 honda civic dx. It still vibrates and acts like the breaks are still dragging and running hot. Any suggestions. Someone told me it could be the mastercylinder?

Yes, everything is brand new. Brake pads,rotors,and calibers.Sometimes when I dirve it,it will be just fine. Then it starts to vibrate the sterring wheel and you can smell the breaks. I've parked it for now till I can figure out what's up.Someone told me the next thing to try is the mastercylinder? Could that be causing this?

 

A partly clogged hose can cause the brakes to drag. If it happens on both sides it's probably not that though. So when it acts up see if it is one wheel or both.

Once the brakes have dragged and overheated a rotor, the rotor is warped and needs to be replaced again.

 

Well, I know it's both wheels. They smell hot. Were going try the matercylinder and blow out the lines, see if that works i guess.

 

Thanks. We are going to work on it this weekend. Someone also told me that the rubber lines that connect to calibers could be clogged, might not be able to see it for the outside. They could be clogged inside the tubes. Thanks again.
