Broken timing belt - now what :( !?!
Not my Honda but somebody who wants to sell me their 91 Civic to me for $350 Anyhow is it remotely worth buying gambling boy's Civic for $350? Is the damage limited to the top end only? I would do as much of the work as possible myself.
What is the Best case scenario?
Worst case scenario?
Thanks,
Glen
ps I just changed my own 93 Civic timing belt, water pump, crank & cam seals.

I mean you could buy it and put a used head on it for 100$ or so....then sell it for a grand? I guess its worth it if youre goin to use it as a beater, but dont buy it to fix and sell.

if its clean and its something you want. then get it. hondas are so easy to fix. i bought mine for a 100 bucks with a d16 in it. now the suckers clean as hell and it has a ls in it. now its worth way more than what i bought it for. its all on you

Just ran a carfax and it came up:
Washington
Motor Vehicle Dept.
Battle Ground, WA
Title #0220507606 New owner reported
JUNK TITLE/CERTIFICATE ISSUED
DISMANTLED TITLE ISSUED
Belt broke at around 180,000
I may go see the car - not crazy about salvage titles.
