Smile A/c clutch

Does anyone know where or have seen JUST an A/C Clutch for a 90 Civic LX sedan with factory air? Back in the 90s the air was a dealer add on but factory parts.
I can find a complete compressor for around $300+ but I don't want to spend the money to change out the whole compressor & change over to R134A from R-12. When all I need is a new clutch.
Thanks

I bought one a few years ago I think it was from NAPA. Check the label on the compressor, parts catalogs show two compressors being used but I think nearly all of them in the US market were Sanden.

I assume you're doing this because the pulley bearing is bad. As far as I know, that bearing is not sold separately. If the parts of the clutch are OK but it won't pull in, you can usually fix that by taking shim washers out to reduce the gap.

The issues is it won't engage it just rattles. It use to engage but would kick out sometimes. I posted another thread on my A/C issues & the problem was the compressor was disengaging sometimes, Now it isn't engaging period.
Do they make a shim kit & if so where.
I'm hooked up with NAPA Prolink & I don't see anything but complete compressors & bypass pulley.
Thanks.

Usually you won't need new shims. Just remove the center nut, take the plate off take some of the shims out and reassemble. You want the plate close to the pulley but not so close that it will drag when off.

Thanks for your help. Do these clutches require a puller? So do & some don't I know.
