Default A/C not working

04 lx. i jump compressor clutch relay and it works. not great but works (Engine bogs down though).Tried to jump pressure switch, thinking low r134 or leak. But didn`t work. So it`s looking like compressor clutch wiring or spacers. Any advice ?

When you press the A/C button, does the light in the button come on? Do the condenser fans start?

Since jumping the relay pulled the clutch in, clutch is OK.

Do not jump stuff in the future, can cause damage. Jumping the compressor relay starts the compressor but not the condenser fans, and there is also no protection against over pressure. This is a recipe to blow the compressor or the discharge hose.

Is your compressor thermal switch the type with 2 small wires and its own plug to the harness? Those can fail open. Test it and the pressure switch for continuity. They should both be closed circuit in normal operation.

Yes light and fans are on. Thermal switch has three wires and its own plug

A Lumina I had had a three wire switch & Jumping them blew the IAC fuse. I would check low pressure switch. On an 04 if it is low you need to find the leak & repair. Just remember that R134A is very toxic. I worked in commercial refrigeration when the synthetic freons came out. There were warnings & more warnings. Most of that has been shut up now. But R134A can enter your body through you skin. The same with synthetic oils. You don't need a cut for it to enter either. I carry a Type I & II EPA Cert for high pressure refrigeration. I take my R134A cars to a shop & let them play with the crap. I still work with R12 & R22.

Check for a blown fuse and whether the ECU gets battery voltage from the clutch relay.
