Default a/c only blows cold when Im driving when im stopped or on park it blows warm air!

Hi everyone I’m new to the forum, hoping to gain some knowledge from yall. I have a 98 civic Hx, my a/c only blows cold only when I’m driving, when I’m stopped at a light or on park, the compressor kicks on and off and stops blowing cold air. What can be wrong with my baby? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Sounds like the condenser fan is not working. The condenser overheats when sitting still so you get compressor cycling off due to high pressure, and little or no cooling performance. While the car is moving the fan is not important.

It's likely either the fan motor or relay, or the condenser ground wire. The compressor and fan are on the same fuse, so if the fuse were blown the compressor wouldn't work either.

MK378 thanks for the advice. I connected the fan straight to the battery and it works fine what else can be the problem

Swap the fan relay with one of the other ones on the car, there are several the same.

And check the ground wire.

Ok I will try tomorrow, I feel a lot better knowing I don't have to buy a fan. Thanx man!

MK378, thanks alot for your tips, the relay was the problem. I don't know if it's just me but it seems like the car is doing alot better. It just feels smoother, thank again.
