It looks like your car is Vtech. I think the Vtech solenoid is right under the rubber hose coming out of the valve cover.

I also found the knock sensor(or what's left of it) courtesy of Google images, but now I'm having trouble reaching it. I can get a socket on it, but the intake is in the way of a ratchet or extension bar. Does the intake have to come off? Or is there some other easier way?

 

the knock sensor is JUST above the metal water line which goes from the water pump to the thermostat housing. The KS is in an UGLY location. The socket is 1 and 1/16 inches. I even had to use a universal on my two inch extension to get mine off.
