The SRS light in my 2002 Honda Civic recently came on and stayed on... I read that this sometimes happens for no reason and I reset it using this trick. Later, I read that there are SRS diagnostic codes which can be read out using a similar trick. Since the airbags are potentially so important, I kind of regret not doing that. If there were any diagnostic codes to be read out, would the light come back on after I reset it? If not, is it still possible to retrieve the diagnostic codes after a reset?
