Well, I created a real problem for myself. We had a torrential downpour around here yesterday and I managed to run into some water (I'm still a bit puzzled as to how there can be such a swell of water toward the bottm of a hill when there isn't at the very bottom [:@]). So, now my car won't shift at all, and it grinds when I try to go into reverse. I welcome suggestions on what the problem may be.

 

Is there any fluid in the clutch fluid reservoir on the firewall near the clutch pedal?

It's fixed. Turns out the plate was binding due to a small amount of rust, so we started it in gear and let it pull itself free. Thanks again.

 

ya my friend had the same problem with her BMW afew days ago.LOL i guess when i started the car in gear and jumped it forwards and backwards it freed up. shocking what alittle rust can do!
