Default Car Stereo won't work, and clock resets itself

Hello,

I am new to this forum, but am in dire need of some help, so any advice provided will be greatly appreciated.

I recently had an Alpine deck, amp and sub all installed into my '95 Civic. A few days ago the deck cut out and no longer works, and the built in clock on the dash of the car got a little bit dimmer it terms of how bright it shines. Also every time I turn the car off and then start it again, the clock on the dash resets to 1:00, and the deck still does not work.

Is there something I can do to correct this problem??

Thanks again.

check fuse under the hood.... your memory wire fuse is blown.

I agree. Probably there is a short behind the radio which needs to be cleared or the fuse will blow again. There is a remote chance this could happen because of turning the radio up really loud because it would use more than 7.5 amps then.

I vote for you paying the shop that did the install a little visit.
YOU should not have to check anything..... and if you do start digging into the car you might void your warranty.

I vote just doing it yourself if you want it done right.

I disagree he payed for the install. It should have been done properly. Make them do it again.
