Default cd player wont work and clock resets?!

I have a question?......My brother was installing a cd player in my car the other day and he grounded out one of the wires (the red wire touched the back of the cd player). Well it didn't blow the cd player fuse, but it blew the one on the car. I changed the fuse but my clock wont light up very bright now and the clock resets everytime i turn off my car (it says 1:00 and goes up, and then when i turn my car off and then back on it says 1:00 again) and the cd player wont work when i plug it up.....any suggestions?

sounds like you might have a problem with your main power wire. do you loose your radio pre-sets to?

I'm with LEVIII on this one. Definitely check the fuses under the hood with a test light. I had a similar problem with the clock and radio about a year ago......one of the fuses under the hood went out and I didn't even think about checking there.

In the fuse box under your hood there should be 7.5A fuse. I think its a radio fuse check the cover it should say radio or something that should be a problem.
