Car stutters and chokes.
Hey, I bought a 2000 Honda Civic DX like 2 months ago, its got 109000 miles but it was fine when i got it. Now when I give it gas at 'low' RPM's, like below 2500, it stutters, chokes, feels like its going to die, barely accelrates, but then after a couple seconds it gets back to normal. And this happens mostly when its below like 3000, or 2500 rpms... I've been avoiding that problem by giving it a lot of gas and letting the clutch out very slowly, then it's fine, but thats normal to drive like that... so i dont wanna keep doing it, lol. I'm thinking clutch or transmission issues? By not sure...
Also, ever since that started happening, the car sometimes idles at 2000-2200 RPMs, which it wasnt doing before. And when all this started happening the Check Engine Light went on, i drove for about 3 days with it on, then it went off by itself, and it seems like i'm having less of the choking/stuttering problem too, but it's still not normal...
Soo... any ideas?
Thanks.

RE: Car stutters and chokes.
i would check these your TPS sensor your cat, or just change your plugs wires and cap and rotor button. Does your car smoke?? Maybe your head gasket is leaking?? But im betting on the plugs and stuff
