If I have been driving my car around and get to a stop light the car starts to shake some. Like the shifter rattles back and forth. Its a 5 speed. It seems like it would have something to do with the idle maybe? What else could it be?

 

Sounds like the idle is too low to me...does it run fine when driving it around? Cause it could be missing a little on a cylinder...which would be much more noticable at idle.

 

bad motor mounts?

the whole car shakes, or just the shifter? if it's just the shifter it could be bad bushings

 

Driving around it doesnt do it at all. It just when stopped and sometimes it wont do it. Its pretty much the whole car but I noticed my shifter and cd player shaking the most.
