Default RE: Fuel Filter Question

Opening the gas cap might do it. That will take pressure off the system, but the weight of the gas in the tank/line will probably force some gas out when you crack the fittings. Usually, the fuel just leaks out till the level equalizes. I haven't even looked for my fuel filter yet, so forgive my ignorance to its location. If it is high up (above the tank) not much will come out. If it is under the car, the line from the filter to the engine will drain and more gas will leak out.
