Default changed my coolant. now my car reeks

idk. i have a 88 civic LX sedan 1.5l pgmfi dp. and i bled the coolant and changed it out. and now it smells bad. i also disconnected the iacv and removed it "coolant hoses too" and i ripped the coolant hose coming from the side of the tb to the iacv. so i ran to autozone and got some extra hose same type, trimmed it and installed it. but it might of been not cut short enuff cuz it looks like it sorta has a kink in the hose. its not bad but im not sure. i also turned my dist foward a little bit to try to correct my timing since i dont have a timing light. now i noticed my car drives a little better but now it reeks. any help would be appreciated n thanks for readin
