I have a 2000 civic si that i have recently added a wet nitrous kit to(zex) and since then the check engine light has been comin on every now and then but it stiopped doin it for a while then yesturday i have noticed that it has been doing it again. I also realized that it only happens when i have the bottle off or empty, cause if i turn it on and ride around, not spraying, it doesnt come on. Plus it comes on only when i am at a stop, not while driving, only when at rest will it kick on.
Now when the light comes on the car idles at 1500 and when i just touch the gas it revs up and down really fast and short. But when i push further it will begin to run fine untill i let go then it bogs down and drops rpms really fast. So can somene tell me what this may be or if it has happened to ypu before wan what you did or heard somebody did to fix it. Thanx.

 

if you are close to any autozone or any parts store that can scan your ecu, you might want to give them a visit, its free at autozoneand others too but call them first to verify.
