I went to AutoZone and got my car scanned because the check engine light was on. The guy who scanned it said that i had to go to the Honda Dealership because only they can diagnos my car. Is this true??

 

It depends. WHat year is your car? If the car is pre-1996 then AutoZone probably cannot pull the code. If your car is post-1996 you probably have a manufacture specific trouble code. If your car is post 1996 then go back and tell them to give you the CODE, not thier diagnosis. Whenever you have the codes read make sure you get the code out of them. Post the code, some1 might be able to help. If your car is pre-1996 look on the DIY section for the procedure to retrieve trouble codes by jumping the connector under the glove box.
