Default Check engine light on - help!

Hi
I am new to the forum. I failed my emission test. My check engine light is on and the error messages I got was:
1. P0135: O2 sensor heater circuit Bank 1 Senor 1,
2. P0302: cylinder 2 Misfire Cyl. 2 Or Random Misfire
3. P0304: Misfire Cyl. 4 Or Random Misfire
4. P1300: Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

My car is a Honda Civic LX 97.

I had the O2 Sensor on the bottom changed but the check engine light is still on & I think I got ripped off the guy charged me $280 . He wanted to charge me $899 to change the exhaust manifold (which he told me was called a catalytic converter) & the top 02 senor. Just because I ‘m woman he thinks he can get away with it.
I am in the process of getting the top 02 sensor changed with someone else.

The questions I have are:
1. If I had the both of the (top & bottom) 02 sensor changed do you think I need to changed the exhaust manifold since it has a crack in it?
2.Will I pass the emission test if the misfire is not fixed?

Help please.

When the check engine light is on for any reason, that's an automatic fail most places.

After clearing up the sensor and resetting the computer see if the light stays out, or do you still get misfire codes. If you do you should next change the spark plugs, plug wires, and the distributor cap and rotor. This is about $100 too $150 in parts but very little labor. Those parts need to be changed after a few years anyway.

The shop probably ripped you off because the P0135 CEL code indicates a problem with the primary O2 sensor (upper) rather than secondary O2 sensor (lower). Ask for a refund and go to a different mechanic.

As MK say, address the misfire codes initially by replacing the plugs, plug wires, and distributor cap.

Thanks guys,
I don't get the error messages for the missfires anymore. Hopefully this will do it and get me to pass the inspections. I am having someone change the sparks plugs and the upper 02 today. Will let you know if the light goes away. Thanks for your help.

glad to hear you got it taken care of. Did you mention in your first post your exhaust manifold has a crack in it?
