Default checking engine idle speed '95 DX

Does anyone have details on checking (and possibly adjusting) engine idle speed on a '95 Civic DX FI (I'm not quite sure where the tach's red connecter should go or if anything at all should be running). Thanks

Thanks Ron. I'm still not sure, though, where I need to connect the red tach clamp. Also, (assuming the EACV is the Idle Air Control Valve) which hose is the P2 hose? Thanks again,

Andy

You can do this without a tach. 420 rpm is where the engine is barely running, it will shake considerably and act like it's going to stall. Get to that point and call it good. The exact setting doesn't matter because once it is in range, the ECU will control the idle via feedback.

The "2P connector" is the electrical plug on the EACV.
