civ problems
I hit a big flooded area wit my civ and ever since it wont turn over all the time but its basically at the point of turning over. And when it does turn over it idles fine and gives gas fine. But once u start driving it, it dogs out and will just cut off on me and wont start for a while. No clue whts goin on with it
Did water go into the air intake? That can cause internal engine damage.
Check for water inside the distributor (if equipped, you didn't say what year you have). Leave the cap off and dry it out. Pull the spark plug wires (or coils) out and check for water in the spark plug holes. Cvcrcr has a very good point that you may have water in the oil and in the transmission.
