civic makes a loud bang and then poof cant catch any gears?? anyone have any opinions

thanks for the help bro, i replaced the axles cause turns out they were both snapped , but when i hooked everything up the motor doesnt even crank?? im charging the battery hoping thats what it is ..if not im screwed...
