ok guys my car is pissing me off..i did a d16y8 swap on my 98 civic hx. i have a skunk intak mani stage 2 crower cam, header..my vtec doesnt seem to kick in, when the car is cold it idles ok. when it warms up it lacks power and falls on its face..and the idle goes crazy..HELP!

 

so, did you remove an oxygne sensor?
if you shut off the engine when it is idling bad, does it restart with good idle?
any CEL's.

when you turn on the Ac (or should be able to tell by turning on the lights (if you do not have AC)), does it hold it's idle speed?

 

i donthavethe secondary o2 sensor, when i did theswap i didnt have a plug for so i dunno what to do for that

 

i dont know to say that you did a swap that should not have been done, or you took too much off of the other and now do not have a connection for the 2nd oxy sensor.
guess the ecu is looking for input from the other (nonexistant) oxy sensor.

should have a check engine light on?
