Civic VX power steering "upgrade"?
Hello all, I am new to the Honda and Civic world and new to this forum. I am looking to purchase a 5th gen Civic VX, as my girlfriend needs a very fuel efficient car; however, I am not sure if she will be able to deal with unassisted steering. As I understand it, the 92-95 Civic VX does not have power steering as a factory option.
Is it possible to install the power steering system from a similar 5th gen Civic to the d15z1 engine in the VX? Does the power assist rack fit and bolt up the same as the manual rack? Does this engine even have mounts for the pump? Will the pulley on the pump be compatible with the pulleys on the d15z1?
Thanks for the help! I have tried without luck to find any info on this, probably because nobody ever wants to do it...
