Default clicking/grinding/squeeking sound when stepping on clutch

Hi, have a 2004 Manual Civic Coupe, and recently (been about a week maybe) I've been hearing this clicking/grinding sound when compressing/decompressing the clutch pedal. Could it be anything major? I don't see any change in performance. Could it be rust? Perhaps needs some lubricants?

Thanks

Is the sound from inside the car, like the pedal itself, or under the hood at the transmission / clutch area? Either way, there are some places to grease.

Get some lithium grease in a spray can, use it to douse the pivot points at the top of the clutch pedal.
