Squeeking sound when I rev engine

I just bought a 01 civic 2dr lx and I noticed that when I rev theengine up even just in normal driving I can hear a squeeking sound in the engine that sounds to me like an belt maby the fan belt? Im not sure what to look for any help would be great.

Yeah, I would start be checking whether any of the three drive belts (PS/AC/Alt) are loose or glazed.

I had a very slight squeak when I used to rev my motor, it didn't happen all the time. I couldn't figured it out. It went away when the timing belt and the assoiciated accessories were replaced.

Civics do not have fan belts... I still say it is a belt even if it doesn't seem loose.

try some belt dressing. if that makes it temporaroly go away then its the belts.replace them this is not a permenent solution. if its just a squeak could also be a slightly loose motor mount.

i know that when i had a squeak on my belts, when i turned the A/C on it got a lot worse, and using that info i found out that it was in fact the a/c belt. maybe this will help you narrow it down
