O'kay, I have a 2001 Honda Civic Ex 2dr MT 1.7L SOHC V-Tec with front upper and rear upper strut bars, cold air intake, full exhaust system (headers, downpipe, cat and catback. When I release my clutch while idle I hear a light hissing noise almost sounds like my intake is behind my driver side front tire. When I accelerate the noise gets louder. I feel that it is probably my clutch or my tranny. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

have you got out of the car or ran along side it with a friend driving to see where the noise is coming from?

 

Is the noise constant, or does it happen for a second or two when you release the clutch, then go away?
