Default Clutch issues - 95 Civic DX Hatchback

Hello,

I've a question today about the clutch in my 95 Civic DX 2 dr hatchback.

Lately, you have to push it in really far for it to engage. It's like it doesn't have any spring to it anymore.

Perhaps this is an obvious, silly question, but does anyone have any ideas.

Thank you in advance for your help.

what clutch system do you have?

If it's a cable/mechanical system, it could be out of adjustment.

If it's a hydraulic, reservoir may be low?

Checking these does not reveal any issue. You may have problem in clutch assembly which will require removal of transmission to inspect and repair.

Try search function on the forum to see if there are others have the same issue.

Check for low fluid in the reservoir and a fluid leak above the clutch pedal or at the slave cylinder.
