Default clutch pedal height

So I notice in a haynes manual the pedal height from the floor is supposed to be 6 1/2 inches I measured mine and its 5 1/2 would that affect anything to leave it or should I bring up to the standard 6 1/2?

It is more important WHERE the clutch begins to engage rather than the heigth of the clutch from the floor. But yes if it is an inch off it wouldn't hurt to make sure that the clutch is engaging at the proper length from the floor. It should say in the repair manual how many inches from the floor the clutch should begin to engage...follow your manual specs and tighten/loosen your cable to adjust it accordingly.

Good luck!

The manual doesn't specify when the clutch should engage. Clutch is fine now but wasn't sure if the pedal should be at standard height. Also the pic in the manual shows it being measured with no rug so I should prob take that into consideration heh

If your clutch works fine, I wouldn't worry about this.

well the reason for my concern is this clicking sound i hear right after the freeplay when pedal is being pressed, dont know if its somethin to do with the pedal mechanism or something else.
