Default Clutch starting sensor problem

The start sensor on my clutch petal is going south. I tried to trace the wire and i couldn't find where the wire leads to. It seems like it go all the way in the dash. Is there a harness or plug in the dash for the senor or i can just cut the old wire and ****e in the new one?

well the sensors on the clutch pedal theirs 2 and the harness plug is on the end of them. i had to just jumper wire my upper clutch harness when i instaled my remote starter alarm. i have no idea what the lower sensor is for! seems odd to me why the hell they have 2 but just jumping the top sensor alows my starter to engage at any time..... tho its only good for if YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE DRIVING THE CAR.... due to posible problems if the car is left in gear.... so i would advice against it.

i could hook up a relay to the wires to be activated with the alarm BUT im not worried about it because no one but me drives my civics!

Up at the top pivot on the clutch pedal there are two switches. The upper switch disables the starter unless the clutch is pushed all the way down. The lower switch drops out the cruise control when you start to push the clutch down. Civics without cruise control only have the upper one. There is also a relay involved in the starter disable. It's mounted way way up high on the left side of the car under the dash.

First test would be to unplug the upper switch and jumper the two wires in the plug, you should get consistent starting then. The switch is adjustable but if it was working before and not now it probably needs to be replaced.
