I'm replacing the camshaft position sensor and decided to replace the valve cover gasket and all the rubber seals that come in the kit. I'm having a very difficult time removing the plug seal located inside the valve cover. I cannot get them out and scared to damage the cover. Any one with suggestions???

 

your not trying to save the old seals so grab them with something big enough to give you enough leverage. then twist and pull. well thats how i usually do that style valve cover i haven't done a civics so. but as for other vehicles the twisting will either crush them so they can be pulled out or spin them and break them free.
