Default Coke and rust?

In the search for ideas on how to get my rotor retaining screw out (which I still haven't gotten out) I was asking people at work and someone told me coca cola can help loosen rusted bolts and screws. Has anyone heard of this? And if I can't get the screw out in a few hours, I might as well try it, right? Can there be any negative effects?

myth busters did a thing on this....it will work kinda well....the acids and stuff will eat the rust away...i would try some PB blaster but thats just me, and if you have coke on hand, you should try it, if it works kool, if not, on to the next idea...and by the way, i dont know what screw your talking about, but i doubt that will matter, unless its horizontal....then the coke will run off of it....so you will have to keep pouring. lol

Thanks guys. I figured there couldn't be any harm in trying, but just wanted to check with others first. And I actually don't have any coke lol. I was j/w about it. But if all else fails, I might go buy some.
