Default console

I have a '96 Civic with 5 speed manual that the speedometer and odometer is not working. The current instrument panel does not have tachometer on it. Most of the units I've found used have a tach on it. If I replace the entire instrument panel with one that has a tachometer will the tach work? Don't know if the electrical harness were same with ones with tach vs. ones without. Anybody can comment?

Thanks

So even though the temp gauge is moved from the left side display to the right side display the temp gauge function will work on the right display? I'm just wondering what affects on the electrical signal since the signal is now going to the opposite side of instrument cluster.

Shouldn't matter. It has nothing to do with where the gauge is.

Thanks for confirmation. Verified that they all use the same electrical harness. Swapped out with one with tach. Everything working fine!
