Default control arm bushings

hey guys whats up? just joined this forum tonight because i have a question about my wifes 02 civic ex. we had the front control arm bushings replaced 3 times in the past year, and the most recent being 2 months ago, and they are bad again. is this a common thing for 02 civics? or is there something else that could be causing this to happen every 2 to 3 months? or did the place we took it to get fixed just using cheap parts? the car has only 70,000 miles on it. any help would be appreciated.

ya most likely the shop used cheap bushings that just suck.... if you have that shop replace the bushings again as for just labor and go to your local honda dealership and buy OEM bushings. just ask the shop which ones you need or buy all of them.... you can always take back the ones you didnt need as long as not opened, just ask the parts counter guy to write down the model number and which bushing that is on the receite that way its easy to know which bushing is which for your cheap @ss repair shop.

thanks for the reply. would putting urethane bushings on be a better way to go rather than oem? also, could the control arms themselves be shot, and thats why the bushings are goin bad so fast?

The energy suspension bushings are really nice. I would use those over the OEM ones.

Maybe some sharp edges are eating up your bushings.
Have the shop check for damage when they take the old ones out.
