Default Coolant Leak

I have a coolant leak in my 89 Civic hatch. Where could it be coming from? These are the pics I took. If anyone has any questions to help me diagnose please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks in advance.

My guess is water pump.

The car doesn't overheat and the temp is fine when there's coolant in it. Could it be the water pump seal?

This is where it's leaking.

That is a bad water pump. The hole is designed to direct away water that leaks from the seal. Replace it right away because it's going to get a lot worse. Unless your timing belt is really new, put a new one on while you're in there.

Are you sure mk? I'm assuming that the leak in the 2nd picture is from the coolant filling up inside the plastic cover.
