take out the fuel pump fuse (underhood fuse box) and unplug the big wire connector on the back of the distributor. then cycle the motor through seven compressions and note the reading. mine is around 205 in all four. they should all be close to each other. also, take out all four plugs before you start. if any are low then put a couple of drops of motor oil in the hole, then retest. if it is a lot better, then its the piston rings, if not, then its probably the valves. and thinking back, i see it might not be in the car yet. in that case i have no idea. sorry.
