Just taking my time and being very detailed on this since first honda timing belt change . Any thing else you would recommend . The tensioner seem to be working fine . I went thru and clean everything while i got it tore down looks brand new inside . Even replacing cover since i seen someone attemted before i bought car and broke one cover

just be sure both the timing marks are straight and belt is tight. and after to tighten up the belt and have all spark plugs removed slide the crank back on and turn the motor over afew times and turn it back on the timing marks properly and check belt tension again. see when you first tighten the belt it will be tight on the right side but the left side between cam and crank can have slack that would throw off your timing marks. took me a few times to get it right.... but better safe than sorry after you bolted up everything to start it up and have it off a tooth been there done that... was very angry! lol

like the other guy said in previous page.... most likely the belt is either stretched and worn, or maybe the tensioner just loosed up and it had enough slack to jump a tooth and your lucky it only jumped 1 tooth!

i still have to do my 96dx timing belt. im trying to be alittle cheap on it and save 10bucks by waiting for the auction to end instead of buy it now.LOL
the cars only got like 80K miles on it so i think i can wait afew more weeks.

good to hear! the first one is the hardest after that its easy! but i would suggest you time the motor as well, if you have a timing light. it might be close and run good, but if you can improve it any and get better its worth a shot!

if you know how to time the car that is..... ya know jumper wire on a terminal under the dash inside passenger side kick panel area with the car off, start the motor with timing light on the #1plug wire and battery clamps on the battery and check out the timing mark on the timing cover and crank pulley and loosen and turn the distributor to get it lined up perfectly and tighten down the distri and recheck timing.

Thanks i will do that as soon as i get the blown oring on injector replaced . The car has been sitting awhile i am sure there will be alot more little things go . I have cleaned and redid intake and throttle body. Redid all fuel compnents pressure filter etc except dang injectors I guess old injectors just couldnt handle fresh pressure
