Default RE: cylinder misfires..

A cylinder misfire is usually caused by either a fuel or a spark problem. So if your car is misfiring, make sure that a spark is reaching all cylinders. To do this, get another spark plug and attach it to your wires. Have someone crank the car over and see if there is a spark. If you don't see a spark, you have to figure out why the spark isn't getting to the plug. Next, spray some carb cleaner through the TB. If the misfire goes away, then you know that it is a fuel problem and then you can go on from there. If you haven't changed the spark plugs, wires, or cap and rotor in a while, it might be a good time to do so, for this can cause problems. Also if you pull your plugs out and see that there is flashover (brown stuff around the procelin of the plug) then the plug wires are not good. Hope that helps, keep us posted.
