Default D16Z6 Timing Help???

I'm trying to set the timing on a 94 honda civic ex all factory. I'm having trouble setting it exact, and I'm about Half a tooth off. Is this alright??? I usually drive an hour each way at 85mph <3100rpm>. If I'm half a tooth off then I should set it at half a tooth retarded for top end ??? Any thoughts??????????

jump the connector before you time, and pull off when ur done. if u dont do that, the ecu will compensate for the timing you set it to.
