Default Defogger Switch

The light in my Rear Defogger Switch is burned out. The Haynes manual says to use a small screwdriver and pry the switch out but the pic shows a horixontal switch. My 97 EX has a round button. Has anyone removed one before? If it only takes a screwdrive I'll replace it but I don't feel like removing the whole face plate that holds all of the buttons & stereo.

It only takes a screwdriver to remove all the panels from your dashboard, too.
