Default Dim Lights

On my 93 Civic, I have no power issues during the day or anything, but whenever I drive the car at night and am using the headlights and the heater simultaneously, everything stays bright until I let the car get down to idle speed, which is roughly around 500 rpms. When I step on the gas and up the idle to just over 1,000 rpm's, everything gets bright again. I installed an alternator from another car at a junkyard and had the alt. checked b4 installation and was told it was like brand new on the inside. How would I go about checking the connections on this? Seems like a pretty tight squeeze to even get to the thing. The car also has brand new batt terminals installed and are on tight and solid. If not connections to the alt or belt, what else could be causing this??

How bad is the dimming? Do you use any kind of aftermarket sound system?

It dims a little bit and if u have the heat on u can hear the motor slow down a little when the car comes to an idle. I dont run an aftermarket sound system except for a sony explod head unit and the stock speakers/tweeters cause its an EX of course.

I would suspect you need to clean or replace your EACV, as I told in another thread.

Service manual hasthose answers It is really no point for me trying to find pics on the net and to stretch my language skills in an attempt to explain location and procedures, if you already downloaded service manual.
