This being my first civic im not real sure about this. Do all civics have weird dip sticks mine doesn't have the full level. It just has a hole and if thats the full level than thats alot of oil. How do i tell if it is full enough? I don't know.....my old nissan had a H and an L with crosshatch lines between to indicate how full it is. Thanks

we need more info - model and the year.
mine is an 88 lx with 1.5 liter.
dipstick has 2 small holes drilled in in - upper one is about 1.5 inches from the end.
no problem determining what is what.

 

Yes, there should be two holes in the dipstick near the bottum. In between those two lines is fine.
