Default distributor cap question

On the distributor cap, which is the connection for cylinder number 1. I took my spark plugs out and I pretty sure of the order but I just wanted to be extra safe before trying to run the motor.

Default RE: distributor cap question

Well first off, if you get the order wrong, it's not going to hurt anything.

Now, if you're looking from the top of the dizzy (passenger's side), the order goes 1-3-4-2 clockwise (the engine turns counterclockwise when looking from the crank end).

And I believe the #1 cylinder connection will have a circle with a C in it marked next to it.
