Default Distributor question

I read somewhere that they tend to go out around 150K miles. Is this true? Or is it just the coil that goes out? I'm at about 146K right now so i'm just wondering what to expect.

It's a good idea to replace the distributor at 150K miles to avoid a breakdown. The coil, ICM, sensors, seal, and bearing are nearing the end of their lifespan.
