Ok, heres the situation... my car is the Ob2a (9 wire blue plug) and i picked up a cheap but working Ob2b (white 7 pin) on CL (accidentally, should have done my research) and am low on cash. I do not want to waste the money on the harness because I can simply cut the harness end off of my bad dizzy and connect it to the OB2a dizzy. I know that the guts are the same. I just need to find a diagram for each wire so I can do the conversion. Would any of you happen to have this?


Please help, I have looked everywhere for a writeup on this and cannot find one. People are just saying to but the harness from www.rywire.com but it would be a waste consider I can just resolder a new end to the ob2b. thanks in advance!

Found a diagram (which I will post soon) that shows the conversion. Only problem is there is nothing saying what to do with the RPM lead signal (dark blue and Black/Yellow wires)

 

Bump... Does anyone know the answer to this? Or am I just being stupid thinking that an OB2b distributor will match up with a little soldering and internal modifications?

 

I wish I could help. Distributor wiring confused the hell out of me when I was swapping in the H22. I was planning on buying a conversion harness from Rywire and being done with it.
