Default Door won't open on Civic 2000

I have a 2000 Civic Ex that has sat in my driveway for about 8 months without use. The passenger door will not open or unlock. Tried the key lock, the inside lock, and keyless entry. Any ideas on how to get the lock unstuck and get my door open?

It is not frozen and I don't think the alarm works anymore. I can get in fine through the driver's side but the passenger door will not unlock or open. Tried the outside key lock, the inside lock, and keyless entry. The door refuses to unlock. It feels like it is somehow stuck.

I am having the same problem on my 1998 Civic on the drivers side. It just happened yesterday.

Did you find a solution?

I am able to get the door panel removed going in thru the passenger side and the cables to the lock mechanism seem fine. The door just won't open. I am stuck.

Any help would be appriciated.

try to spray some wd 40 in thru the keyhole , if not you might have to try to get the door panel off , which is a pain in the *** cause you need to open the door to get the panel off without destroying it [:@]
