Default Driver side light off

The driver side light all of a sudden didn't work one day. I assumed it was a busted bulb but upon inspecting I didn't see anything wrong with it. Nonetheless, I switched it out with a backup bulb and that didn't work either.

I happened to jiggle it and "boom" the light was on. So I went ahead and reassembled everything.
Now it wasn't working again. Now I can't get it to work no matter how much I jiggle it around.

Now, could this be due to a bad connector? I would like to try and troubleshoot this. Can someone let me know what reading I should be seeing if I put a multimeter on it?

There are three prongs but I'm not sure which is ground, etc.

Thanks!

The connectors can go bad. Inspect for corrosion or melting. Also check the light ground point near the fender. The black wire is ground. The other two are high and low beam. Does high work but low not? There are separate fuses for each beam in the dash fuse box. How good is your spare bulb?

I should have checked the high beam, thanks for the suggestion. Just checked and verified that the high beam works on the driver side light.

Since the light works on the passenger side, it shouldn't be a fuse problem right?

Anyway, since the high beam works, does that mean the low beam filament is bust? Strange, my backup bulb could be bad but it was fine the last time I took it out. I have a couple other backups, which may or may not be good now.

There are 4 fuses with each beam independent of the others: left low, left high, right low, and right high. That is so a blown fuse won't leave you completely with no lights.

Brain fart. That totally makes sense. I checked out the fuse and it's fine. I even switched it out with the driver side fuse and it's still the same issue.

I took some measurements on the connector lead forboth lights and everything checks out. so the only thing left is the bulb itself. the momentary light i previously saw was prob due to the filament creating continuity by chance. i loked at it again very carefully under a magnifying glass and it does look separated but it very fine.

just tried the passenger side bulb on the driver side and it works. guess i should have tried this first without assu.ing my bulb or my backup bulb was good. *sigh* thanks for the help though.
