Hi, new to forum and searched for this but didn't return any results so hoping any experts might have some ideas/suggestions.

Have a 2009 Civic 4DR EX-L with Navi. About 6 months ago, sporadically the DVD screen would lose the map and show the following "DVD Disc reading error, please consult your dealer". I purchased a new 2014 Turquoise DVD Map Update v6.C0 thinking maybe the older one was damaged although I didn't notice anything obvious after cleaning it. Seemed as if new one worked for a little while but getting the message again. Odd thing is that once the car is turned off and back on, map is back on and works for a period of time before it will once again show the error.

I couldn't find anything similiar to this so maybe not a popular problem and maybe after 5 years the navigation system is not reliable?
