E-Brake light on '02 Civic

Default E-Brake light on '02 Civic

once and a while the e-brake light comes on. at the same time when this happens, the temp gauge stops working, the lights of the gear indicator on the dash (D, 3 and 2) stop working as well and the lights on chime does not work anymore. am sure this is something electrical. anybody an idea where I should look? hate to spend tons of money at the dealership.......

make sure you have brake fluid. Mine flashed the e brake light randomly and it turns out i was running low on brake fluid
