just use some HOT soapy water and a towel wraped around your Ebrake handle and start pouring the hot soapy water onto the ebrake handle when its lifted UP and start to work the button over and over and over.... ect till it frees up, and then just wipe it down to kinda dry it off and ur done...

most likely dirt or old soda has goten around the button and its making it stick. ive also has this same problem with my automatic shifter button as well.

you could have pulled the plastic handle part of the e-brake out and made the button look like it's depressed. it's just a press fit, try your hardest to slide it down onto the lever, the same thing happened to my ef.
